Matt’s remit will include creating new initiatives that represent the Here Be Dragon values of ‘Curiosity, Compassion and Courage’
Here Be Dragons, the creative PR and communications agency, has promoted Matt Crowhurst to head of people, culture and media. The newly created role has been designed to place the agency’s culture and values at the heart of the senior leadership team, with a focus on attracting and retaining the best talent at Here Be Dragons.
Matt’s remit will include creating new initiatives that represent the Here Be Dragon values of ‘Curiosity, Compassion and Courage’, while ensuring that employee wellbeing and DE&I are central to the agency’s operations internally and externally.
Current planned initiatives include a Curiosity Calendar of cultural talks and visits, a personal budget for health and wellness for every full-time employee, and industry-beating annual leave (including automatic annual leave at the end of the year), to add to the existing initiatives such as hybrid working, and a fab new office.
Commenting on his new role, Matt said: “I’ve been at Here Be Dragons for seven years now, and one thing that I’ve always appreciated is a sense of belonging at the agency, which is only possible with clear communication and respect for people's differences. These are reflected in our agency values, and I look forward to helping instil this as we continue to grow.”
Agency founder and CEO Paul McEntee said, “Matt has been a true custodian of the Here Be Dragons agency spirit for seven years. He was our second employee ever and he has grown through the ranks to join the Senior Leadership Team – placing our values front and centre as we grow. “
